1 dead in fiery US 60 crash in Mesa

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

U.S. 60 westbound at Loop 101 in Mesa has reopened hours after a fiery crash killed one person, authorities said.

The fatal accident involved a semitrailer that caught fire when the vehicles collided, according to Arizona Department of Public Safety Officer Carrick Cook.

More complete details about the crash were not immediately available.

It was unclear whether the person who died was in the big rig or the other vehicle.
