1 dead, state EMA employee injured in Macon Co. crash


The Alabama Department of Public Safety confirms State Troopers are working the scene of a fatal crash in Macon County.

Details are limited, but authorities say the crash happened around 10 a.m. on U.S. Hwy. 29 in Macon County, approximately six miles south of Tuskegee.

One person was killed in the collision, but their identity has not been released.

A second person, identified only as a state Emergency Management Agency employee, was injured in the two-vehicle crash. That person was transported to a Montgomery hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
