SUNRISE SUMMIT — A Delray woman was injured in a 1-car crash a quarter mile east of the high school entrance on U.S. 50 late this morning.

Eileen Sneathen, 51, was taken to Hampshire Memorial Hospital with injuries sustained in the accident.

West Virginia State Police responded to a call at 11:09 a.m. along with the fire and rescue squads from Romney and Augusta.

Police said Sneathen was headed east on U.S. 50 when her car left the roadway, striking the rockwall twice.

Trooper D.J. Smith said the accident is still under investigation this afternoon. Patrolman Charles Reno of the Capon Bridge Police, who was headed east from Romney, stopped to assist Smith.
