Crash closes all I-95 lanes north of Garrisonville

UPDATE (1:21 p.m.) : Two lanes of northbound Interstate 95 have re-opened at mile marker 144, just north of Exit 143/Aquia and Garrisonville in Stafford County, VDOT reports.

UPDATE: The Virginia State Police is reporting that multiple vehicles are involved in the crash and that all lanes will be closed for at least the next hour (or about 12:30 p.m.).

According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, the ramps from U.S. 1 and Route 610 leading to I-95 northbound are also closed.

There is a detour in place.

According to the state police:

Those needing to travel north on I-95 through Stafford County are advised to plan ahead, prepare for delays and/or seek an alternate route as I-95 will be closed for at least the next hour.

There are injuries involved in the crash, but no details available yet.

Northbound I-95 is a parking lot, according to the VDOT camera at the Garrisonville exit.
