Stratford crash sends young man to hospital

A 17-year-old male is in serious condition in hospital following an accident in Stratford just before noon.

The call came to Queens County RCMP about 11:30 to the intersection of Route 1 and the Stratford Road by the Stratford Esso.

“A car turning left onto the Bunbury Road was struck at the intersection by a truck travelling west on Route 1,” said a press release from the RCMP.

Car plunges in water off Pineda Causeway in Brevard, 1 hurt

MELBOURNE – 

A car has crashed into the water off the Pineda Causeway, Brevard County fire officials said.

The crash happened east of U.S. Highway 1 Monday afternoon.

A photo crews took at the scene shows a white, four-door car with visible damage to the front and back of the vehicle.

One person was transported from the scene with minor injuries, responding fire officials said.

The crash resulted in a small fuel leak into the water. Fire Rescue officials said the car was pulled out of the water by 2 p.m.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.

Car plunges in water off Pineda Causeway in Brevard, 1 hurt

MELBOURNE – 

A car has crashed into the water off the Pineda Causeway, Brevard County fire officials said.

The crash happened east of U.S. Highway 1 Monday afternoon.

A photo crews took at the scene shows a white, four-door car with visible damage to the front and back of the vehicle.

One person was transported from the scene with minor injuries, responding fire officials said.

The crash resulted in a small fuel leak into the water. Fire Rescue officials said the car was pulled out of the water by 2 p.m.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known.

Route 34 Crash Claims Life

One person is dead following a single-car crash on Route 34 in Putnam County Monday morning near Hurricane.

Emergency dispatchers say the car slammed into a bridge near the Silver Dollar Bar at about 11:30 a.m. The victim died at the scene.

Police stopped traffic on Route 34 as part of their investigation. The accident scene is near the intersection with U.S. Route 60.

THOMPSON RIDGE — Five people have been taken to area hospitals and one is in critical condition after a two-car crash on Route 302 Sunday morning.
At 11:19 Crawford police responded to the crash where a 2002 Chrysler Sebring driven southbound by Elizabeth Labelle, 40, of Greenfield Park crossed into the northbound lane, police say.
Labelle crashed into a 2008 Mazda CX 7 driven by John Sullivan, 53, of Circleville. Labelle was flown by helicopter to Westchester Medical Center with head injuries and is in critical condition, police say.
Labelle’s eight-month-old grandson appeared to be uninjured but was taken to Orange Regional Medical Center in Wallkill for observation, police say.
Sullivan, along with his wife and Orange County Legislator Roseanne Sullivan and their 14-year-old daughter were all taken to ORMC for what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, police say.
