Two dead in motorcycle crash on US 19 in Largo

Two people died in a motorcycle accident Thursday night after they crashed into the median while entering U.S. 19 near 150th Avenue N, Largo police said.

The driver, Gilles Michaud, and passenger, Mona Dube, both of New Brunswick, Canada, were traveling north on the frontage road and tried to enter U.S. 19. Their 2009 Harley-Davidson three-wheel motorcycle hit the raised median separating the highway from the frontage road, and both were taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg where they later died.

Authorities said alcohol was not a factor. Investigators provided no further information, including the ages of those involved.
